Meet the Chef
Guillermina Figueroa
Maria Guillermina Figueroa Garcia is originally from the state of Guerrero. After completing her studies, she entered the culinary world by taking a course in molecular cuisine, learning about the fine art of balancing flavors and the various cooking and reduction techniques for highlighting different ingredients.   
As her career progressed, she served in various establishments; a significant aspect of her experience is her professional development in service operations management and administrative management of kitchens.  
Before joining Velas Resorts, she worked at the Sheraton Los Cabos, where she gained knowledge of the hotel sector as a line supervisor of Asian and Mexican fusion restaurant Pitahaya.
Today, she is Head Chef of restaurant Cabrilla and Service Manager for poolside food and beverage service at Grand Velas Los Cabos.
