Uncover Baja’s History with New Rock Mapping Light Show Experience From Grand Velas Los Cabos
Cabo San Lucas, Mexico (November 7, 2019) - Culture-seeking travelers who want to uncover Baja's ancient legends and traditions, look no further. Grand Velas Los Cabos is offering a new experience to the remote rock paintings in the Sierra de la Laguna Mountains. Alongside accredited tour guide Oscar Ortiz, guests will hike through the canyon and terrain of San Pedro, a small town in the Sierra de la Laguna Mountains in Baja California Sur. During the journey, guests have the opportunity to see endemic species, ancient rock formations, flora and fauna, and more. Guests will learn about the Pericúes, the first aboriginal inhabitants of the area. Much discussion amongst historians has occurred over the ancient tribe as their original location before migrating to the Baja is still unknown to this day.
Following the hike, guests will enjoy a multi-course dining experience consisting of guacamole-topped tlayudas, fresh oysters, grilled stuffed clams, and barbecued beef with charred onion and fresh corn tortillas. And the highlight of the experience, after sunset, guests will witness a one-of-a-kind rock mapping light show. Archeological symbols from the area's past are a looking glass into Los Cabos' history, tradition, and the heritage of the ancient culture.
The experience costs $11,936 for up to 6 people. Private transportation to and from the resort is provided.
Rates at Grand Velas Los Cabos' all-inclusive resort start at $582 per person per night in double occupancy and include luxury suite accommodations, gourmet meals, premium branded beverages, 24-hour in-suite service, nightly entertainment, taxes, gratuity, and more.
