New Hotel Initiative Cultivates Young Minds with Hands-On Nature Care
Cabo San Lucas, Mexico (February 19, 2024) - Grand Velas Los Cabos is launching a new Adopt-a-Plant program for kids that allows them to adopt and care for a plant of their choosing during their stay at the resort. In today's fast-paced world where screens often dominate, Grand Velas believes instilling a love and appreciation for nature is more important than ever. The hands-on activity not only teaches valuable lessons about responsibility and stewardship but also creates lasting memories and a sense of connection to the local area that extends far beyond the duration of their stay.
The plant adoption program at Grand Velas Los Cabos offers a wide variety of plants to choose from, ranging from flowering plants to leafy succulents. Armed with a newfound sense of responsibility, the child will be guided by the hotel's dedicated staff on how to care for their new green friend, covering essentials like watering, pruning, and sunlight exposure. Through daily interactions with their plant, the hope is that children will develop a deeper understanding of the natural world and the importance of nurturing and respecting all forms of life.
The resort will continue to provide regular updates and photos of the children's plant via email after their vacation so they can witness it grow and change over time. Whether it's a snapshot of the plant basking in the sunlight, sporting new growth, or blooming with vibrant flowers, children will be able to keep an eye on their plant from afar until they return to Los Cabos.
