LOS CABOS, B.C.S. - On Friday, July 13, 2018, representatives of the American Automobile Association (AAA) presented Grand Velas Los Cabos with the Five Diamond Plaque. The highest award a resort can receive, it signifies "ultimate luxury, sophistication and comfort with extraordinary physical attributes, meticulous personalized service, extensive amenities and impeccable standards of excellence." according to the AAA website.
The Five Diamond is rating reserved for a select group of hotels representing just .4% of the 27,000 hotels evaluated every year in the United States, Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean. Among the aspects evaluated are cleanliness, comfort and safety, as well as décor, facilities and range of services offered. The inspectors visit anonymously, to ensure the evaluation is based on the experience any guest may have during a stay at the property.
